Well, hello all you wonderful London Gothic’ers!
Firstly, please accept our apologies for the radio silence this year but it’s been a hell of a year for us all at LG. Unfortunately, the day job has been taking precedence due to the difficult economy here in the UK along with spates of poor health and heartbreak with the loss of our beautiful girls Jazz and Ruby in short succession, this year really has been one to fight our way through.
At the start of 2024 we also lost our colourist for Chapter 3, this has meant Mike had to take on the entire production, it has unfortunately meant things have taken longer to produce this chapter and we may for the first time see a slight delay in going to print, but the quality and workmanship of Mikes craft is more important than a rush through for the sake of it, we only want the best for our readers and the best is what you should expect for your hard earned purchases, contributions and support.
But…..fear not though you gorgeous bunch, Mike the Magician has been beavering away triply hard this year to ensure we carry on regardless and battle through on with gusto like The Duke and his band of unlikely heroes.
The Kickstarter for Chapter 3 was another success due to all you guys and again we can’t thank you enough, your support keeps us going through the difficult spells and motivates us enormously, we honestly love you all and you are at the forefront of everything we do.
I can definitely confirm you won’t be disappointed…..Chapter 3 is an absolute belter! I have been privilege to the pages as they have been coloured and they look absolutely stunning, transporting the reader into the world of LG as though you were using one of those compooter virtual reality gizmo thingamajigs!

I honestly can’t believe we have been doing this now over 4 years, from meeting Mike in the Summer of 2020 to where we are now in production of the 3rd Chapter, time just flies by and as we promised we will get all 4 finished then decide on future projects for LG or maybe something a little bit different 😉

We have no planned comic con appearances as yet for 2025 and may take a year off, comic cons are extremely expensive to attend, even more now everything seems to have gone through the bleedin roof, by the time you take in cost to attend, travelling, stock and a stay overnight (if it’s more than a one day event) they really have become quite extortionate, we also found with the 19 (World record?) comic cons we did in 2023 many are poorly run and advertised, when you spend between £500 – £1000 to attend and only see a handful of visitors due to no one knowing it was actually on it just becomes unviable and not cost effective.
We have decided that the money is best kept under my mattress for the time being which will help fund the production to conclusion, the kickstarters help immensely but only go some way to covering outlay, as always I will prop up any deficits with my own money and make sure we get this amazing story told I give you my personal guarantee on that.
If the right comic con does come up for us in 2025 rest assured, we will be there, we really miss the interaction with you guys who come especially to see us and chat all things LG…….we will be back as soon as we can.
Myself and Mike have also produced a couple of short YouTube videos giving the history of some of the characters that appear in LG, so far we have Sweeny Todd and Punch & Judy but I have written Sawney Beane and once Chapter 3 goes to press I will get this recorded and Mike will work on the graphics and get loaded up, if you haven’t yet checked them out they are available on our YT channel here; https://www.youtube.com/@londongothic
