Well, hello my wonderful fellow London Gothic’ers it’s been a while and I hope you are all grand.

This year seems to have flown by, and another mega busy year for us here at LG HQ!

We finished Chapter 2 and were lucky enough to have funded another successful Kickstarter campaign, thank you all so much for supporting. I think we were going for the record amount of comic cons attended by an Indie comic trader! 17 in total and as I write we have one more on Sunday 12th November at Brentwood in Essex. Seems a very long time ago since we attended our first comic con back in 2021 and I am already looking at bookings for 2024 which we should be able to nail down by mid-January of which will be posted on the website.

It has been absolutely fantastic meeting all of you who attended the cons, bloody enjoyed having a good ol chinwag about LG, it’s been really mind blowing the cult following it’s gained in such a short space of time, and we are extremely thankful to all of the support you guys have shown, but it’s back to the grind for Chapter 3 for myself but mainly Mike!

If you haven’t seen them yet Mike has some brilliant tutorial videos on our YouTubechannel where he shows in detail the making of London Gothic using a page from Chapter 3, from the initial illustration right through to lettering, it opened my eyes as the writer because I truly didn’t realise the amount of work he puts in, Mike is a bit of a perfectionist and it shows, so if you haven’t seen them I would recommend giving them a view.

Following on from Mikes tutorial videos I am working on some history and origins videos of the characters that appear in London Gothic, these are a work in progressand will follow on when Mikes series has finished, I will be delving deeper into the history of Punch and Judy, Sweeny Todd and Sawney Beane, so make sure to subscribe to our channel so you don’t miss out.

This year as already mentioned we attended a lot….and I mean a lot of comic cons, most were excellent but a couple I have to admit were poorly run and we will not be returning to those ones, given that though we met some amazing people and cosplayers who purchased LG and were kind enough to let us take advantage of a photo opportunity as you can see below, so when the list goes up if you are coming along to any we will be at, please pop over and say “Hi” we really love meeting you all and answering questions you have about the world of London Gothic.

I would like to thank you all so much for all your support since we started LG, it
truly astounds us how well received it has been! For a small independent self-published graphic novel, it’s taken off way better than we ever anticipated or expected and that is all down to you fab London Gothic’ers so thank you all so very muchly again.

At this moment we have not set any dates on releasing the Kickstarter campaign prelaunch for chapter 3 or website pre orders but will blog again when we know for sure to inform you all of how to sign up so you don’t miss out.

That’s all for now you beautiful mob, we’ll update you again soon but, in the meantime, stay safe.
Gawd Bless you all
